The Last Breath of Paint
In 2023, Samer unveiled The Circle of Breath, his final exhibition in Kyoto. This collection of circular paintings was crafted using pigments derived entirely from flowers grown in his Himalayan garden. The circles symbolized life’s endless cycles—birth, growth, decay, and rebirth. Each canvas seemed to pulse softly with energy, inviting viewers into quiet meditation.
This exhibition was Samer’s poetic farewell to the world, a statement that art endures even after the artist’s hand rests. Reflecting on his life, Samer said, “The true essence of painting is not captured in colors but in the breath between them.” After the show, he returned to his studio for a final period of quiet creation before passing away peacefully.
Today, his garden and studio have become a sanctuary for artists and seekers, where the legacy of his passion for color, life, and spirit continues to inspire.
